Comenius Award 2023

The Comenius EduMedia Awards took place in Berlin this June.

Since 2006, ESEC has been cooperating with the GPI (Gesellschaft für Pädagogik und Information) for annual award ceremonies for outstanding educational media. For years, GPI and ESEC have been working together on the prize programs “Comenius EduMedia Award” for educational media of any category and/or the “Erasmus EduMedia Award” for media products or media programs on the subject of Europe.

Both award programs have been presented in recent years as part of the GPI Comenius EduMedia Award in Berlin. The last event took place in June 2023 at the Chamäleon Theater / Hackesche Höfe in Berlin.

The European Society for Education and Communication (ESEC) is an international scientific association in the fields of education for communication, media, and society, acting mainly in the interest of cultural and educational support for the development of an integrated European Society.

ESEC is a society of experts from educational science, media science, education, and media practice. The main objective of ESEC is the realization of European projects (engaged in research, educational work, exchange platforms, publication, award events) in the framework of international cooperation of experts (media and educational science and media and educational practice) for the realization of the understanding of a common European idea with different cultures, traditions, and values. ESEC is especially committed to the field of educational media production and educational media use in the teaching context as well as to social media education both, in work – as in everyday life contexts.
