After intensive weeks of preparation and two months of implementation, we are happy to report that our Co-Age Volunteers Program for volunteer mentors has finally been finalized on 24.02.2022. The mentoring program was held online, as the safety and health of our participants needed to come first!
During implementation, ESEC trainers have managed to cover areas and reach participants predominantly from Austria and Slovakia, but also from Algeria. They engaged in interesting brainstorming sessions on Mentoring, their understanding of it, the importance of screening, onboarding, and follow-up conversations with volunteers. They have learned about the theory of communication and had the opportunity to meet and interact in lively set-up virtual rooms.
As the final part of the program, participants met with chosen experts and had the opportunity to ask praxis-related questions and start building a network.
A meeting in person is planned for mid-Spring time.
